What is my Username and how important is the name I use on my account?

Your Username (or @handle) is a name you select while creating your profile. Since there can only be one account associated with a particular Username, this feature makes it easier for people to identify you on The Pattern. This can be your real name, a chosen pseudonym, nickname, or something playful.

Usernames with profane or offensive words may be subject to deletion or revision at the discretion of The Pattern without advance notice.

The first and last name used to create your account does not have any effect on the insights generated for Your Pattern. We recommend using the name you’re most comfortable with, but remember, it is against The Pattern's Terms of Service to impersonate anyone else, so please use discretion if you choose to enter an alias.
