Can I run a Friendship Bond with anyone?

Yes, you can run a Bond with anyone on The Pattern, aside from private users, in which case you must add them as a friend first. Select a Friend or Custom Profile from your friends list carousel, or tap the search icon to look up an account. 

Note: While you can run Friendship Bonds with public users on The Pattern, you will still need to add them as a friend to view their personal pattern.
