The Pattern is a homegrown, handmade passion-project created to help people understand themselves and connect with others more authentically. We had concerns about AI, so we decided to do things differently. Our new AI conversation feature, In‑Depth, extends everything The Pattern already is — dynamic, private, safe, and secure — built on The Pattern’s own hardware and infrastructure, not using Chat GPT or other third‑party AIs. It’s based on thousands of human-created insights and audios, keeping your personal data private and protected. 

 

Additionally, In-Depth is not trained on your personal chat data. We host our own private model technology to ensure this additional layer of safety, never selling or exposing your data. In‑Depth was made to take your Pattern experience deeper, meeting you where you’re at to process, analyze, and help you feel seen, supported, and not alone.

 

Try the In-Depth feature for free by having a conversation about yourself, or by using one of your friends already in the app. Now you can explore your bonds on a deeper level with family members, coworkers, prospective employees, and of course friendships and romantic interests. Conversations are private to you and are unmoderated to give you the most secure experience possible.
